This year, Bangkok E&E 2007 is held in conjunction with Bangkok RHVAC 2007, the world's top five refrigeration and air-conditioning trade fair and Thailand International Logistics Fairs 2007 - ASEAN's biggest logistical technology, product and trade fair. The combination of the three major trade events is to ensure that participants will receive greater benefits at a single cost-and-time saving trip.

According to NECTEC's director Dr. Pansak Siriruchatapong, said that the institution has organized the project for the first time with its aims to inspire university students to convert their innovative creativity into practices and develop their innovation on the embedded systems for commercial purpose which will be beneficial for Thai electric and electronics industries as a whole.
"The Embedded Systems on New Industrial Design Camp and Contest 2007 is a collaboration between NECTEC and related organizations. The objective of this competition is to produce local human resources who have potential in embedded systems development as well as to encourage their creativity and marketing planning. Such innovation will become the prototypes of Thailand's electric and electronics products that will certainly help create stability to Thai industry and enhance the competitiveness of Thai industrial products in the global market as a whole," said NECTEC's director.
Visitor to Bangkok E&E 2007 will have a chance to witness the final competition among the three finalists and experience the first-round qualifiers' master pieces of embedded-system products which will also be exhibited right there at the fair.
The three finalists who will compete for a winning trophy and a 150,000 baht cash prize are:

Dr. Pansak stated further that, "The 10 embedded system designs are the result of the innovative minds of students in order to create perfection to the prototypes. There are unique designs and detailed marketing planning that are the result of team participation. Also, it is the efficient application of classroom knowledge into concrete outcome. The fair participants will experience never-before-shown embedded systems products that can be commercially put into practice. The products are contemporary and are in response to the demand of the market."
Bangkok E&E 2007 is organized by the Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Commerce Ministry, in collaboration with the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI)'s Electrical and Electronics Industry Club. The objective of the fair is to show the capability of Thai manufacturers in electric and electronics industries, as well as to expand trade and export opportunity for local Thai business into the global market. The fair, which is held for the second time, is carried out under the theme, Satisfaction and Innovation for a Better Life. It is a complete electric and electronic trade fair of electrical appliances such as lighting equipments, audio and visual appliances, and industrial machinery including telecommunication products i.e. fiber optic modem and mobile phones.
